Reviews of Beltone Liverpool

The Beltone Liverpool, NY Team

  • Craig Chorney, MS, CCC-A

    Audiologist

Mr. Chorney has been in the hearing health care field for nearly 40 years. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Speech/Communication Sciences from SUNY Brockport in 1975, and his Master’s Degree in Audiology from Penn State University in 1980. He received his Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 1981, and is a current member of that organization.

Mr. Chorney became an audiologist because he enjoys combining technology and counseling skills to help others hear better and get more out of life. His career experience includes ten years as audiologist at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA; three years as Audiology Clinic Coordinator for the Gebbie Hearing Clinic at Syracuse University; twenty years as an audiologist for Central New York Developmental Disabilities Services Office and part-time employment in private hearing aid practices.

Mr. Chorney joined Beltone Hearing Care in March 2012, and in 2013 retired from state employment to work full time for Beltone. Drawing from his experience with varied individuals and professional settings, he is devoted to helping his patients and their families understand the impact their hearing loss has in their lives, and helping them choose the appropriate technology to meet their communication needs and lifestyles.

  • Marissa Skwierczynski

Marissa Skwierczynski has been in the hearing health care field since January 2018 and joined Beltone in July 2019. She earned her dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, with a Biomedical emphasis, and Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona. She participated in an undergraduate Speech and Hearing Clinic, where she became interested in helping people with hearing loss reconnect to the world of sound and achieve a greater quality of life.

Marissa’s patients appreciate the personal attention she provides to ensure they are fitted with the best hearing instrument, as well as the care she takes in following up with them. She takes the time to listen to the needs of the patient and explain the hearing technology in a simple way without overwhelming them.

In her downtime, Marissa enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys outdoor activities, like hiking and skiing, and traveling. Lastly, she likes to volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association.

  • Susan Moore

    Patient Care Coordinator

Susan has been in the hearing care industry since 2006 and with us at Beltone since 2012, having previously attended Onondaga Community College and Powelson Bryant & Stratton. Her care, compassion, and personal attention to every patient's needs helps them navigate their hearing health, from appointments and follow-ups to insurance questions.

Having lived in upstate New York most of her life, she resided in Nevada for 4 years before coming back to the east coast. When not helping the world hear better, Susan greatly enjoys NASCAR and traveling to Las Vegas.
