The Beltone Davenport, IA Team

  • Dr. Michael Sharp

Dr. Michael Sharp serves our patients in the Davenport and Clinton, IA areas. Mike is a graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology as well as being a Doctor of Audiology. He currently teaches Speech and Hearing Science and Aural Rehabilitation at Western Illinois University and supervises students in the Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Mike is driven by the satisfaction of having a patient experiences a better quality of life. He treats everyone that walks through the door like family, understanding the importance of being right beside his patients as they make the decision to address their hearing issues. He takes the trust that his patients place in him seriously and strives to provide each with the best of care.

His desire to work with a partner that values the patient/hearing care professional partnership by providing the best hearing technology and care for the patient’s day-to-day life are what drew Mike to Beltone.

Michael is the VP of Audiological Affairs for the Illinois Speech-Language and Hearing Association, the nominee for the state of Iowa to the American Speech Language and Hearing Association’s Audiology Advisory Committee, and the Educational Audiology Association’s representative on Audiology Groups. These various positions and nominations give Mike a broad perspective on the field of audiology, hearing aid dispensing, hearing education and care.

Mike grew up in the Quad Cities and lives in Bettendorf with his family. In addition to a passion for Audiology, Mike was a licensed pyrotechnician and a skydiver. He is currently interested in the local Celtic Highland Games (in the very amateur division) and loves to spend Sunday evenings cooking for his family and playing board games together.
