Meet Our Staff

Scott Whitaker, BC-HIS-ACA

Audioprosthologist

Scott's own hearing loss led him to Beltone over 25 years ago. He is the past Chairman of the AR Licensing Board was on the Board of Directors of AR Hearing Society. In 2008 he received the LeBlanc Award from the Arkansas Hearing Society for his service to the hearing impaired. He is passionate to help those with hearing loss because he understand what it is like to have hearing loss.

John Solomon, HCP-HIS

Hearing Care Practitioner

After 17 years of owning Fort Smith’s Beltone Center and expanding into four additional offices throughout Arkansas, John and his wife, Jean, choose to turn over the practice to their sons and move to Mountain Home in pursuit of their fly fishing passion and the small town ambiance. John is also passionate about patient care and has been honored with Beltone’s Regional Excellence Award of having the best patient satisfaction in 2009. In addition, John has served as director of the Arkansas Hearing Society, and both chairman and vice-chairman of the Arkansas Board of Hearing Instrument Dispensers. We are privileged to have a Hearing Care Practitioner with such a wealth of knowledge and experience on our team.

Christopher Rohr, HCP-HIS

Hearing Care Practitioner

Christopher was born in Switzerland and moved to Arkansas when he was eleven years old. After graduating from Harrison High School he earned his bachelor’s degree from College of the Ozarks where he met his lovely wife, Heidi, who is a Branson native. They have been married for ten years and have two rambunctious little children—Coen and Oaklie. Before working in the hearing health industry Christopher was a full-time pastor; in retrospect, becoming a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist has created another outlet for him to serve people by improving their quality of life. In 2012, their family friends, Scott and Faye Whitaker, asked the couple to transition into ownership of their Harrison, Mountain Home, and Eureka Springs offices which had been in operation for over 20 years. Christopher and Heidi were happy to take on the tradition of caring for the existing Beltone patients and all those in the future.

Treasa Slawson, HCP-HIS

Hearing Care Practitioner

Although raised a Michigan girl, Treasa is happily settling in the South—especially in beautiful Harrison, Arkansas. She and her husband, Darin, are busy planting community roots by serving in the church choir, joining the American Legion, and essentially exploring the sights and sounds of the Ozarks. While their two grown children and sweet little granddaughter don’t live near them anymore, the time they do share together is priceless. Treasa graduated from Ozarks Technical College where she earned a degree in Hearing Instrument Science. Additionally, she is a devoted pianist/vocalist who is constantly in tune to the sound environment wearing hearing aids herself. Since hearing loss has affected her life she personally can relate to the benefits of hearing instruments and, at the same time, has a passion to help others with her technical expertise.

Darlene Trammell, PCC

Patient Care Coordinator

For over 15 years Darlene has joyfully and skillfully served the Harrison Beltone patients as their Patient Care Coordinator. As our quintessential hometown girl she knows everyone or their neighbor, and has a keen knack of making all feel at home. Both Darlene and her high school sweetheart husband, Bruce, graduated from local schools and even worked together in the Arkansas National Guards. They are very active in their church, the American Legion, and, most of all, as foster parents. In addition, their son and daughter have given them five amazing grandchildren who keep Papo and Gamo hopping. We, at Beltone Hearing Center count it a blessing to have had Darlene for so long, and will never let her go!

Janet Kunz, PCC

Patient Care Coordinator

Our patients would not be surprised to learn that Janet, once received the Richard Padget Extra Mile Award from the Mountain Home Public School. After going the “extra mile” for ten years in the Special Education Department, she is now serving our patients with the same honored attributes of kindness, gentleness, and professionalism. Although Janet and her husband, Marv, miss their two fun-loving little grandsons back in Indiana, they are happy to call Arkansas “home” and have enjoyed her natural beauty for many years now. We are extremely fortunate to have Janet on our team—she provides hearing aid services with a smile!
